German defender Robert Huth was born in Biesdorf, from the Eastern part of the capital city Berlin and he played for local team VfB Fortuna Biesdorfbefore leaving to join Union Berlin in the same capital city. West London giants Chelsea signed Robert Huth from Union Berlin as a teenager in 2001. His Chelsea debut came on the final day of the 2001/02 season which was his first season at the club. At the age of 17, Huth played his first game for the Blues as a half-time substitute for JesperGronkjaer against Aston Villa but he was unable to save Chelsea from a 3-1 home defeat to the team from the midlands.

Reading tried to sign Robert Huth on loan at the start of the 2003/04 season but they were unsuccessful as it was rejected by Chelsea. The centreback made 20 appearances for the Blues that season as he reiterated his long-term future lies at Stamford Bridge. In the following season, injuries restricted him to 15 appearances. By the time the 2005/06 season started, Robert Huthhad become the fourth choice centre back behind John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho and William Gallasas manager Jose Mourinho preferred it thus making it almost impossible for him to see playing minutes.

Robert Huth has not been impressed with his countryman since he signed for Chelsea last summer. Chelsea spent over £200m on new players and Kai Havertz took a big part of that money following his move from Bayer Leverkusen in his native Germany. Chelsea were said to have paid around £71m for the player and the transfer fee could rise to the £90m mark depending on add-ons.
Robert Huth had been at Chelsea when Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese manager had come from Porto and he has talked about one of the members of the staff during the early training session. He said that Mourinho had sent off a staff. The team was in possession of the game but due to some reason, the staff had committed a mistake as he threw the ball in the wrong direction. Mourinho had stopped the ball and said had sworn him to get in. this was how the coach was like said, Huth. After this, he went on to explain the kind of effect that this incident had on Chelsea. Thus, the team started to feel that if he does this to a coach, it can’t be imagined what is going to be done to the player.
Robert Huth finally made an announcement about his retirement. He made this announcement while responding to a tweet to some speculation that he was expected to sign for the club of Derby County, and also with a swipe the legendary player Andy Murray!
But, this week he is close to completing a shock move to Spartak Moscow. The Russian giants’ club has signed the £3 million-a-year deal with him and has also given the offer of another season. Imminent switch of Terry to Moscow has left the boss of Villa Steve Bruce to look around for a professional and experienced center-back.
