LIVERPOOL APPROACH STOKE CITY

Liverpool have approached Stoke city regarding the availability of Robert Huth. The German international centre back is the latest defender linked with a January move to Anfield, with Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson keen to strengthen in the position amidst reports that Daniel Agger could be leaving the club.

Daily Mirror reports claim Liverpool have approached the Potters with an enquiry for the player, although the Merseysiders are only thought to be interested in a deal in the region of £5 million.

The paper goes on to claim that Stoke have turned down the initial approach, with the Britannia Stadium side hoping for a fee in the region of £10 million from Liverpool, or a possible swap deal for Paul Konchesky and Diego Cavalieri.
