HUTH ASSURED OF FUTURE AT STOKE

Tony Pulis has assured that Robert Huth does have a future at Stoke city. The former German international has struck up a successful partnership with skipper Ryan Shawcross at the heart of Stoke's back four.

Injuries elsewhere saw him return to right-back at Wigan last week, however, and he may have to stay there again against Blackpool today (3pm) if Andy Wilkinson fails a late fitness test on an injured knee.

But City boss Tony Pulis says Robert Huth can anticipate a long run at centre-half once everyone is fit.

"Robert is a better centre-half than right-back," said Pulis, "but last week I just fancied bringing in Danny Higginbotham at centre-half and putting Robert at right-back.
